I ask yet another question to those who know…
Aside from the top dollar marketing studies that are listed in the library
here, can one obtain fairly up to date stats on the CD-ROM marketplace from
another source. What I am looking for:
CD-ROM drive sales over the last 5 years; CD-ROM disc sales over the same
period; Market projections; etc. etc.
All suggestions will evoke hazzahs from the reader <g>.

If you join the OPA (aplication in library 14) you receive a subscription to
the organization's newsletter, which frequently has stats like you're looking
for. Membership also includes a publication that has what I've been told are
the most realistic figures about CD-ROM markets and performance available.

Take a look at the MEMFRM.TXT file in Lib #14. OPA is – as we type – sending
out its Spring 1993 summary of the business with some of the numbers you seek
(no 5-year history or projections however).
