I have Superbase Personal 2, version 3.01. I just installed the version 2.04 roms for my 2500. I am using the feature of WB that allows a bigger WB screen than the physical screen, currently set to 1200 x 400. When I run SB2 it comes up in interlaced mode (didn't use to do that) and the screen behaves "funny". What happens is this: if I move the mouse pointer past the right edge of the screen it wraps around to the left edge and gets about 1/3 of the way across before it stops. Also, dialog boxes appear too far to the right, ie, they use to be centered, but now they are off to the right edge. Is there an update to SB2 to work properly with large WB screens? Thanks.

Mr. Neron, Superbase Personal was discontinued by Precision, Inc. Whether or not Oxxi, Inc., the new owners of the software, will update it is unknown to me. Superbase Professional 4 works fine in these enhanced modes, though. Darin, SPC Superbase Technical Support – via Whap!

Gene, This use to work with SBPro 3 but try putting this into your tool types icon: SCREEN=CUSTOM (must be in caps), and see if this helps. ..Steve Whap!ping from beautiful coastal South Carolina

I have passed this report along to the development team here. One thing we have noticed in the past month is an increase in reports of problems with systems running Version 2.04 (Rev 5 or lower) Workbench in ROM. These reports have been communicated with West Chester, and the "non-official" response was that the trouble should be solved in Rev 6 of the ROMs. I don't know if this trouble is covered under the same heading, but thanks to Steve Setzer for a great suggestion for a work-around! Not so fast Patricia. I tried what Steve suggested and SBP2 works ok,but it has trashed my Workbench screen. Using the RESET WB option of WB fixed up the display, but I'm concerned that it's trashed something in the OS and I'm going to go down in flames later. How can I tell what version of the ROMS I have (without opening my machine and looking, that is)? Is Oxxi going to make any changes to SBP2 to keep it current with the OS? What about Maxiplan? All help and info appreciated. Gene

Obviously, our highest development priority is with the Superbase Pro4 product. Other development plans are subject to re-evaluation of the expected return for the development dollar — in other words, I don't know yet… Regards, Patricia Cummings @ Oxxi (310) 427-1227

Ok, well, whatever happens, happens, I guess. Thanks for the reply.

Steve, I tried that and SB worked fine, but my Workbench display was trashed, as were some of my other custom screens that were open at the time. Resizing the window in the other screens and using RESET WB in workbench fixes the displays, but I'm concerned it's trashed something in the OS and I'll crash later. Thanks for the tip anyway, tho'.
