I've been following this garbage about changing, moving, & removing messages here, but have missed some of the stuff as well. In the last week or so, I left an *EXTREMELY* detailed reply to H.B. Siegel of Wavefront regarding Real 3D vs 3DS, and I believe you must of read it and commented back to me on it. Didn't you ? Since I've been back online and since I never received any comment back from him, I was curious if someone removed it – cause I can't find the reply now, anywhere. Do you think somebody would do that, and is that related to this issue? *VERY CURIOUS* If they did remove it – **THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS**

I don't know if your message got removed or not. If it did, perhaps it was because it contained a detailed description of software in competition with Autodesk's 3D Studio, but I really don't know. I did read the message, and it was very enlightening. I have wanted to know more about Real 3D for some time, and your message confirmed some vague rumors and descriptions I'd recieved.

…so should I be upset ? It apparently is gone (took hours to compose). Would you be upset ?

>> It apparently is gone (took hours to compose). Perhaps it simply scrolled off the forum. It was one of 1500 messages from last week that I read through. If I got it, the addressee probably got it too.

I think you've run into the lightning speed scroll rate on this forum. It's due to the humunguous traffic here. John Tissavary (La Luna cie)

Yeah, it seems to get better *real* late at night EST (after 2). I unfortunately seem to turning into a real ASOFT junkie now that I'm not working…..logging on many times a day. Thsi should be illegal ! Sure could use some type of navigator. If you don't mind, would you give me the model of your modem again and is it int/ext ? (so I don't have to dig out your previous mssg. since I can't make CsNav work <g>) Going to get / try a different one tomorrow. Do you have a VLB, or any "special" port hdwe. if ext.? Thanks for your time. Bill

I use a Suprafax 144 LC external (I have no slots available for silly stuff <g>) modem. Costs around $150 at Fry's electronics in "Silly Cone" Valley. Asoft is definitely addictive, and don't try operating heavy machinery after logging on here, either <g>. John Tissavary (La Luna cie)

Thanks, John…….*_AFTER_* using ASOFT ???? I hadn't thought of that ! I've been using it *during* sessions. Maybe that's the problem ???? (no <g>). Bill

Bill, **WE DO NOT REMOVE MESSAGES FROM THIS MESSAGE BOARD.** But the scroll rate has jumped to less than three days again. This means that messages scroll off the board in three days (or a little more) and disappear into the bit bucket. Normally replies that are not picked up will be forwarded to MAIL, but there are still a few of the older CIM's that will just kick them off, and some of the newer one's that will automatically scroll the latest ones. (neat huh ????) Well…….maybe I outta modify that a little. We do remove some messages, like duplicates and dangling thank you's. But this is in an attempt to keep the scroll rate down to more than 4 days.
