You can order the Amiga Native Developer's Kit from Commodore, 1200 Wilson Drive,West Chester, PA. 19380, hone 215-431-9100. I believe it costs $20, but that could have changed since I last looked at a price list. —Betty

I tried to call the Commodore, and I have probably spend more money on the phone than the $20 you suggested. I got 2 more numbers after I called them and its just crazy. I thought Atari phone system was the worst, but this is close. Calling from Illinois isn't that cheap, especialy for my budget. Anyway, how is the registration for DICE C? Chris

You will find DICE C in the C Programming section of AmigaTech. Instructions for registering are in the docs included in the archive. —Betty

Thanks, I'll check it out. $50 isn't cheap for the includes, but if the compiler is nice, well, I might as well try a little C.

You don't get the Amiga OS include files with GNU C, just some generic C includes. The Amiga includes come with SAS and the registered version of DICE but not the shareware one.

I'm pretty sure they made a point of not including the includes. That was probably one of the benefits you got if you used their cut price upgrade offer. I've probably got that disc lurking somewhere in these boxes, if I can find it and it has got the includes I'll get back to you. Peter Wade Autopiloting from London, England

Afraid i formatted that disk a LONG time ago… still i know for a fact that there are a few PD cd's around which have the includes in – one of the cd's i've come acroos apparently had a complete copy of some guys LIBS: directory (Jolyon Raplh i believe) and there were about 100 Libraries in there.. wonder whether they were all PD ? <g> "hey God, i really don't know what you mean" "seems like salvation comes only in our dreams" – NIN

I would be quite surprised by this because of the restrictions that C= places on the distribution of the includes.

You can also get them by getting the Fred Fish monthly CDs, or (if you're using the shareware DICE) by registering DICE. andy

become an amiga developer and Commodore will send 'em to you (latest ones) on disk.
