I'm looking for a monitor for my new A4000, preferably 14" or 15". I
haven't been too impressed with the 1942,but not many other monitors
are out there that display all the Amiga modes (like Super72). Does
anyone know anything about the Sony GVM line, the Electrohome
(mentioned inthe April Amiga World), or something else suitable in
this area?

The Sony GVM1311Q is a 14" and will handle all the Amiga display modes.
It's about $1000.00, plus I think the base is extra. If you can do without
Super72 and the 15kHz modes take a look at the Sony CPD1430 or the NEC
4FGe (about $550.00 and $700.00). I have seen all of the Commodore
monitors from the 1950 to the current models and even though my Sony 1304S
will not do Super72 or 15kHz I would much rather do without those modes
than suffer the *HUGE* decrease in quality that switching to a Commodore
monitor would entail.
