Is there a way to get perfmon to start when my system boots, and have logging
already turned on? I made a .pmw file with my chart and log settings, and with
logging turned on, and associated it to perfmon. It opens correctly, but
doesn't have the log file started.
I need it to start when the system does so I can get a better idea of why my
disk is making so much noise at startup.
Thanks,
John Saunders

Hi John,
There is no way to get this started once the OS starts other that writing a
service to do this. There is also no garentee that if it were a service,
that it would start early enough to log these events. You could perhaps you
could run PerfMon on a different NT machine and monitor this one while it is
booting. Ofcourse this monitoring won't take place until all the proper
Network services are started.
Thanks,
