Heres a question I'd like to throw into the open.
What is the best digital disk system available?
I've heard of Abekas and Gosset Graphics, sounds
like the difference is D1 vs. D2. Are there any other
manufacturers. Thanks.

The "best" DDR on the market at the current moment is the Abekas. The only
other DDR that comes close is the Accom unit, but the Accom has some
compatibilty problems that don't exist. Accom supposedly uses the Abekas
command set, but it doesn't work quite right. Depending on your budget and time
frame, Abekas should be releasing a couple of new disk arrays at NAB.
