When is the 040 accelerator shipping?How much does it cost? How much
RAM will it ship with? How is the installation,beginner's could put
it in or do you recommend dealer install and last but not least,what
other modules do you have planned after the SCSI II release.Thanks in

-> 4MB or 16MB initially, other configurations are possible through a dealer.

-> Pretty simple. The most difficult part is getting the front
plastic cover off the machine…
Last but not least,what other modules do you have planned after the
SCSI II release?
-> We cannot comment on other modules yet. So far, the RAM Expansion
modile and the SCSI-II-FAST modules are the only two announced.
Gary, I plan on buying your G-Force040, and installing it in an Amiga 3000
Tower. My question is, will there be some sort of switch (hardware or
software) that will allow me to boot up in '030 mode for greater compatibility?

I actually don't know the answer to that one off-hand. I'll look into it and
let you know.
On a related note, with the A4000/040 and all the previous machines with add-on
'040's, I think many applications have learned how to handle an '040 properly.
I don't expect you'd need to go back to '030 mode much at all. But either way,
I'll let you know.

Gary, I hope there is some sort of switch. I still use a lot of older software
(i.e. games) that crash with the '040.

We expect the 040/4000 accelerator to ship before the summer. At this point,
the main board is finished. We expect the SCSI adapters and extra memory
modules to be available soon after.
As we are not yet ready to release this product, so we don't have pricing just
yet. The price will also depend on how much memory comes with the board at the
time of purchase. We expect to have a 4MB and 16MB configuration. Installation
can be performed by the end user. We will provide instructions to take appart
your Amiga 4000 and how to install the board, but it's not something that one
will want to do on a general basis…
