#Vintage A1000 setup

I have a boatload of Amiga 1000 stuff stored in the corner of a room
we're about to remodel, and my wife insists the computer gear has to go. She's
threatening to throw it out! (She does have a point, since I'm currently
running two other computer systems.)
So, I'd like $225, which includes shipping, or best offer on the
following, as is:
+ An Amiga 1000 with operating system 1.3 on floppy disk, 2 megs RAM, 1
internal floppy drive, 1 external floppy drive, and no hard drive.
+ Color monitor
+ NEC printer
+ 2 joysticks
+ All necessary cables
+ About 50 pieces of software, mostly strategy and wargames.

I'd be interested to know more about the monitor including whether you'd sell
it alone? Is it an Amiga model monitor and, since you listed things "as is,"
does it work in both RGB and NTSC modes? If it's a suitable monitor for my
needs, I would be interested in making you an offer for it. George.
George: The monitor is RGB and it works, as does everything in the
system. I say "as is" because the whose package (except the software, which is
much newer) is one of the "original" Amiga setups. It's in very good shape. I'd
like to sell the entire bundle of stuff in one shot, if I can, so if someone
gives me any kind of reasonable offer I'll take it. If not, I'll let it go
piece by piece.

Gary, Thanks for the info. I certainly understand the desire to sell the whole
kiboodle at once, I'd do the same. Let me get just a tad more info. There are
basically two kinds of Amiga monitors sold early on. One variety has a darker
gray "frame" about an inch wide against the screen and a label about 1/2" by 2"
in the lower left corner of that frame with "AMIGA" or "C= Commodore 1084 Video
Monitor" in it. The other variety was made by Magnavox. This type has the
label in the middle of the pull-down door giving access to the control knobs.
Which kind is yours? George
George: My monitor says "Amiga" in rainbow hues in a rectangle on the
lower left side of the front of the box.

Gary, That is what I'm looking for. If you decide to piece the equipment out,
AND if you can assure me this monitor works in Composite as well as RGB mode,
I'd make you an offer of $100.00 for it. I'm not in a tremendous rush, so I can
wait until you have a chance to sell off your equipment in a bundle. I would
appreciate your letting me know if you DO sell it, so I will feel free to bid

In case you're interested, I've got my original A1000 monitor…it's got
the rainbow-checkmark and black AMIGA on the lower left..it's really a
1080, though. At least that's what the original box says (yep, still have
the box after 10(!) years). It still works fine. I was using it on my
A2000 until a few months ago, when I finally got a flicker fixer and a NEC
3d.
Just thought you might want to keep that around for future reference.

Yeah, it sounded like you might be interested in buying the monitor, if
you couldn't buy the one you were talking about so, I just thought I'd let
you know I have one available. I hadn't been thinking about selling it
until I saw your messages.
