#3.1 Startup Problem

Hi, I hope someone has a good suggestion for this problem.
System: A3000 25Mhz, 12Meg, 1 Gig HD, VT4000, VT 3.0 Software
In this config everything seemed to work fine. However, when I upgraded to 3.1
I get the following problem: DblClick "Start Toaster" VT Icon appears Screen
flickers for about 20 seconds. Then this error message appears: Software
Failure – Press Left Mouse Button
Error:8000 0003 Task:074BE068
After trying several times to start up the Toaster, no luck, however I did
notice the Task: ID Code does change.
I have changed the File Transfer Rate as recommended in the 3.1 book.
I have completely reloaded AmigaOS, 3.0, then 3.1 ; same problem.
Some Questions: Is the 3.1 upgrade for A4000 users only? (Does'nt seem so)
Could this problem be related to the Video-1 input and the AUTOHUE procedure?
What is the most accepted method to AUTOHUE with 3.1 (the one that works!)

Sorry I don't have a fix to recommend, but I have a question: Where
did you get the AmigaDos upgrade? (I am interested in getting the 3.1
AmigaDos UG for my A4000)I am assuming you are talking about a
software only package. If so, the problem might be in the kickstart
boot rom.
Sorry Frank, It's the 2.04 rev, not the 3.1. I noticed a thread earlier that
mentioned reformatting and reloading all software so I thought I'd give it a
try before putting out the call.
BTW I'm also looking to try AmigaDos 3.1 on my A3000, I heard thru the various
Amiga forums that beta versions work.?? We will have to see.
