#Toaster w/ Multisync?

Howdy. I just got my Toaster today (please welcome the newest
Toaster owner, please :), and found that it does *NOT* work with my
Mitsubish Multisync II monitor 🙁 Luckily, I had a 1084S sitting in
the closet, for just such an emergency.
How can I use the Mitsu as my main montor, so that the 1084 will be
available for Preview duty? Is the problem my CBM adapter dongle? Do
I need to buy the Sync Strainer I've heard about? How much is the
Strainer, and where can I get one? Does CBM possibly have a newer,
better dongle that alleviates this problem?

You might have the same problem I had. I bought an Idek Multisync, and
tried to use the CBM adapter. Didn't work with the Switcher.
Sync Strainer saved my set-up. You should give it a try. I think they
cost around $50.00. Bruce Robertson (73322,254) is the man to contact
about the Sync Strainer, here–he's the one who makes 'em.
Well, actually we have lots of elves making them for us. As a rule,
ANY multi- sync monitor will work with an Amiga/Video Toaster
PROVIDING that the monitor will sync down to an H (horizontal) rate
of 15.75kHz. Currently, the popular monitors are IDEK, Sony, CTX,
Mitsubishi, and Electrohome. The IDEKs with the Long Persistance
phosphor are finding great favor with the LW3D crowd since the line
flicker is reduced to nil. As for your monitor, check the specs for
the H rate; if it says 28 or 30 kHz for the low end, it won't work.
