How are things in Germany, Amiga-wise?

things are getting better again – after the WOC in Cologne was a tremendous
success to all exhibitors.
It was like: too few exibitors and too much customers.
Now next time it perhaps will be the other way around; but every time the WOC
comes up dealers find that there is a market for hardware etc.
Sill, nothing really changed. Dealers, manufacturers change from the Amiga to
the Mac all the time and find out that it's even harder to survive there.
I've heared that you now manufacture modems. Is there a chance to receive a
price list?

I'm seconding karl here… How are things going, and, most important for
me, what's happening with the CD32 expansion module that MicroBotivcs have
developped? There are thousands of users awaiting for such a beast here in
Europe! As a CD32 developer, I'm _strongly_ interested!

Guys: MicroBotics is in the process of having its properties acquired by
Paravision, Inc.
The CD 32 Module we've designed is in the layout stage (i.e., the design is
done). What remains is prototype mfr and debugging (if any).
This product really isn't "officially" announced or even named (some British
distributors are calling it by their own made up names).
In essence, the module will turn a CD32 into a complete A1200, supporting all
the i/o and memory a 1200 would support.

A British supplier told me last week that they were expecting the CD32
module on the 17th March. Did they just make this up ?
By the way, is the module likely to have an RGB video output ? The
composite is OK for games but for displaying text it is a bit fuzzy.

Peter: Any information you may hear via a distributor is hearsay and not to be
taken as official in any respect.
The CD32 design may be in prototype production by then, but I seriously doubt
it will be available for purchase. These are the sorts of problems one
encounters if one experiences information leakage in advance of actual
announcement of product avaiability.
The CDX product (a working name only) will indeed support RGB. As I said,
basically all the i/o you get from a standard A1200.

If you don't mind telling us, who or what is Paravision, and what do they
do?

Paravision is a new California company founded to create video/mulltmedia
peripherals. It is acquiring and fully supporting MicroBotics product line (and
using its staff to do so).

I am now working for Paravision and will be putting together the documentation,
software, etc. for the CDX module.

I _love_ beta-testing, so don't hesitate to send me a few untis if you
need Euro/Pal debugging 😉 Just kidding… But could you please keep us
