#Animator help

OK you AA fans. I am kinda in a hurry and can't find this in the
manual, so if it is there, please point me to it. In animator, can I
have a flic which is 2 frames, then generate a transition between the
two, inserting the necessary frames? I know I can do this by saving
each frame as a separate flic and then joining them, but this is
tedious. Can Animator do this automatically? Thanks for any help…

I don't think there's an internal function to INSERT blank frames which get
treated/created as transitions, but if this is something you always need,
there's always the RECORD capability to do the flic seperation and the
transitioning, or POCO. -dave
I'll look into it. The reason I asked was that a current trendy demo type of
ours is playing FLC files as screen savers. We need to do a lot of transitions
like the join transitions.

Yeah, a lot of folks are doing that these days. I've also seen a
number of freeware and sahreware utilities here and in the graphics
forums on Compserve which play FLC files along with VOC and WAV
files. Very small too. Good luck! -dave
doug,
what about the post-processing options in 3D studio?

Too much work. I am just trying to find a shortcut for the Join
function. If tAutoDesk would fix the bug relating to joining GIF
files as FLCs, it would help, but for now, the only reliable way I
can find is to save out single screens as FLCs and join them. It is
working well, but I need to develop a macro or POCO routine to do it
automatically…
