An interesting name. How would on pronounce it? Anyway, one place I can definitely NOT RECOMMEND is Creative Computers. Although they run a good mail order house, I have always been frustrated when I go to one of there stores. Basically if your not known to them as a high buch spending toaster fiend, you have a hard time getting service. I even saw a lady one time who had checkbook in had and wanted to buy an A3000 have to wait a very long time for service, when the salemen were doing nothing but talking amoungst themselves. I visited a place called Transnationl Electronic at 1130 Kraemer Street (In Anaheim or there abouts). Sorry I don't have the phone number. They seemed pretty nice there. A couple of my friends found a place they liked a little north of LA off highway 101, but I can't find the information on that store right now. I look and get back to you. Mike

Michael << one place I can definitely NOT RECOMMEND is Creative Computers… I have always been frustrated when I go to one of there stores.>> Thank you! I thought it was just me. I think the name of the store in the valley that you're thinking of is KJ computers in Granada Hills, and they are at the corner of Chatsworth and Zelzah… I've misplaced their phone number- Edgar Flying on AP at Warp 9 over Ojai

KJ's number is (708) 366-5305. I detest Creative too, I've NEVER had a good experience there. -Karl Speaking from the Rubble.

Unless Granada Hills had their area code change, change the (708) to (818). KJ's located at 10815 Zelzah in Granada Hills in a mini-mall next to a western cloths place and close to a Thrifty's. There's also a movie theater, Burger King and a Winchells close by to help narrow it down. From the above, does it sound like I go there too often? 🙂

Whoops! (818) 366-5305 it is. I must have had a cognitive dropout when I typed that. <G> -Karl Speaking from the Rubble.

I can give an unqualified recommendation to Century Computer Systems at 841 Whittier Blvd in LaHabra Ca. They have been Commodore dealer for a long time. They are absolutely honest and very competent. I have been doing business there since 1986. Ask For Greg if he's available. He is one of the owners since his dad passed away. It is out of the way a bit but well worth the effort to get there. Nearest freeways are 57 or 91 & south of the 60.
