Does Quicken v6.0 for DOS work under PC-Task? I just tried it on the demo
version and absolutely nothing happened. It just sits… has anyone gotten this
to work that could help me?

I have been using Quicken v6.0 (DOS) for about 1.5 years. It works very
well with PC-Task version 2.03. I bought this version from Dev-Ware.
I've used Quicken under CGA, EGA and VGA emulation successfully. The
entries operated in text mode, but the graphs will work in 640×350 16
colors or 640×480 16 colors using EGA/VGA.

This is great news. Thanks. I read on GEnie that someone said the
Install.exe program wouldn't work on PC-Task and they had to install on a
real PC and copy to floppy to move it to PC-Task. Did you have this
problem as well?

You're correct, sorry I forgot to mention it originally. PC-Task
will not install Quicken (at least on my 2000). I had to install it
on my clone at work and transfer it with floppies. I should warn you
that the main file, Q.EXE is about 1 meg, so you need a hi-density
floppy on your Amiga (which I have, thanks to Safe Harbor) or ZIP the
file so it fits on a low-density disk.

Thank you for that! I'm certain it saved me a trip back home to drum up a
copy of Zip.
