#*Very* Nice Rendering
3 messages in this thread
I finally got some feedback from the "Bit Movie 94" contest I entered
in January. I received a little brochure written in Italian 🙁 but I
guessed that it was to promote various lectures and demonstrations
and events connected with the contest. Anyway, on the brochure was
printed the most awesome rendering done with Imagine by Eva Cortese
and Antonio De Lorenzo. Mr. De Lorenzo for as much as I tell was also
giving classes in various aspects of Imagine. The rendering was of
two seahorses, one as sort of a unicorn with horn and wings, a shell,
coral and a very nice arty background. It looked like Essence
textures on the wings but maybe Imagine 2.9 has the 'flagstone'
tuxture. The sea horses were glass and there were many subtle and
wonderful things going on with various layered textures. The image
was a raytrace, BTW. Does anybody know about these artists ? They
sure know what they are doing.
much belated congratulations on your "Fandancer" image making Amiga
World's pages. It's remarkable how much you've progressed over the
years; but then again, my only impression of your work was a very
early rendering. (I prefer to spend my online time corresponding with
you nice people, rather than downloading) Not having seen any of your
images since then made the surprise even more powerful.
I've been in kind of a 'resting' stage with rendering. I guess I am
waiting for Impulse to finish up 3.0 even though I've got 2.9. I need
to spend hours really going through the software. I also have Essence
and I'd prefer not to patch it to use it. Also I'm waiting to get my
revised Humanoids when 3.0 is done. My harddrive still has 2.0 on it
and it sure does get confusing. Thanks for the complement. I felt
pretty good about how it printed. That was a 2.5 meg full-strength
Jpeg and the detail held together pretty well on that weird paper
they use.
