#Amiga1000 to TV: How?

Hey, guys.
I put my old Amiga 1000 together with a HD as a Christmas gift for my
brother (to get him off my machine :). For the last couple of weeks, it's
been hooked up to the CVBS on my 1084S, but I brought in a TV to run it off
of. However, I'm not sure how to hook it up.
So how do I get a stock 1000 (as far as video) hooked up to a color TV (RF
input only)?

You need an RF modulator. I believe you can get one from an Amiga
dealer for about $50. I believe that the RF modulators designed for the
A500 work just fine wtih the A1000…but ask just to make sure.

An RF modulator is available at Radio Shack for $25-30 and it should do
just fine also. The "modulation" process can also be accomplished with a
VCR if it has both video and RF in/outs. Just hook up the computer to video
input, the monitor to the RF output and set the source to line.

There's an RF modulator for the 1000 that plugs into the round DIN plug on
the back of the machine. You might put an ad in Classifieds here asking for
one.
Otherwise, you can also use the A520 video adaptor that's designed for the
A500 and plugs into the 23-pin port.
Or do what I used to do–run the composite color video out into the
video-in on a VCR attached to the TV.
