Ahhhhhhh!! I've just received a whole series of files from an acquaintance on Internet which "have been uuencoded" and can be extracted using Pegasus Mail. Now, I've heard of zip, lha, arc, etc… but not Pegasus Mail! What can I do to extract these files on the Amiga?? Or should I just get a PC emulator and Pegasus Mail (whatever that is)?? HELP!! Thanks, in advance… – Barry Jarrett careening around CIS on my Amiga!

Barry, Go into Library 16 and browse on uudecode … a half dozen or so files will pop up, pick the one(s) that you like … they should all do the job.

I don't know about Pegasus Mail, but you can extract uuencoded files with the uuencode-uudecode files in Library 16 of AmigaUser. The syntax is a bit strange, but they are not hard to use. —Betty

Betty, Thanks; I used UUxT to decode…. a very nice program — it even filters out all the email garbage! – Barry Jarrett careening around CIS on my Amiga!

Barry, Pegasus Mail is a shareware eMail package running under Novells network software, a cutdown version of which is included with Netware 3.12 as FirstMail. Bob Bolton – AutoPiloting from London

Bob, Thanks for the info on Pegasus Mail… I was able to decode the files OK with UUxT from the AmigaUser libraries. All is well! – Barry Jarrett careening around CIS on my Amiga!
