Ben,
I have a friend who is in search of detailed info on the .TIFF file
format. Before I dive into a library search, I thought I'd ask around
these parts. Do you or any of your collegues have info you can pass along?
I'm not sure the type of info my friend needs. He's a PhD student working
with image recognition at the University of Illinois. Perhaps, he simply
needs an idea of the general structure of the format.

Stephen, we got our info from Hewlet Packard. If you contact them, they'll
send a long a packet of info to you. Very nicely put together, too.

Did you try the Aldus forums? After all, Aldus "owns" the format in a way – I
believe that they have developer information located there.
