Anyone out there with good experience/knowledge of Newtek 's Digiview? I have one and like to rase quality. Anyone around Amsterdam who can help me getting AutoPilot fly on it's best? I got it going, but it's all a bit hocus/pocus for me. Hans Keesom, still using CIM from Amsterdam. "Behave crazy, or became crazy".

Charles, I use PLC-lamps, these energy saving lamps, they give very white lights. It improved the quality very much. If you want i can upload a iff-file as an example. Hans Keesom from Amsterdam

The sharpness of my pictures are mostly disturbed by a zigzag which you see best along lines. This problem doesn't occur when not using hires. The energy saving lamps (PLC) is use, improved color-quality a lot. I'm using a b/w camera to digitise. Color-camera's have been giving some problems. My CIM has been meshed up the last few days, so if anything went wrong with my mail, please excuse me. Hans Keesom

I have Digi-View, also. I have been less than happy with the results, also. Maybe someone else here can help us all out. Maybe a benevolent SYSOP will come to the rescue, and point us to a text file tutorial that we can download. (please, please, please) Mark A. Freese

Mark, My breakthrough came with the use of these energy saving PLC-lamps. They give very white light. I use 4 at a time. Let me know if it helps. Ans yes, if there's someone who knows all the in's and out's on the Digiview, let him speak. Hans Keesom Amsterdam.

I can suggest that you use the highest quality cables you can get. I use cables with gold plated ends. I found a significant difference, especially in 24 bit.

Thanks John, I'll buy some gold plated cables. The sharpness of my pictures are mostly disturbed by zigzag which you see best along lines. This problem doesn't occur when not using hires. In lores i use the slow color-camera. This makes the difference. Is there a way to use "slow color camera" in hires-mode. The energy saving lamps (PLC) i use, improved color-quality a lot. I'm using a b/w camera to digitise. Color-camera's have been giving some problems. I would like to see a AGA version of Digiview or is this wrong wishing ? Do you think, reading my problems, that gold plated cables are likely towill solve the zigzag problem. Thank you kindly for your help and any new tips. Yours, Hans Keesom Amsterdam.
