multisync monitor wanted

howdy,
if anyone's hanging onto a multisync monitor that they aren't using, or
if they are considering buying a new one, my diamondscan just went belly
up. hence, i'm in the market for a used multisync to replace it. send me
some email if you'd like to sell. i'm willing to pay in the $300-$400
range.

I just found an ad for Princeton Graphics Ultra 14s. This multisync
monitor will handle from 15KHz to 31KHz, so it works well with Amigas. I
have been very happy with mine, with two exceptions:
1) I built my own cable and had a lot of trouble getting it right. I
eventually found that I needed to add a resistor to the VSYNC line. I
would recommend buying a cable with a return policy.
2) The image tends to shift when chaning sync rates. The adjustment
controls are in the back, which makes this a bother.
The picture itself is superb. I do not have a flicker fixer, but I have
been using it with the ECS Denise and productivity mode with AMAX and
WB1.3.

Chris, In ref to your posting on the multisync monitor, what kind of line
pattern does it have (800X400??) and what is the dot pitch (0.31, etc)

What's the dot pitch and bandwidth (max resolution) on this monitor?

I don't know what the dot pitch is, but the monitor is normally advertised
as a 1024×768 monitor. Some of the earlier models seem to be fuzzy at
1024×768 and may really be 800×640 monitors. I don't know how to tell
without testing which is which.

If that is the Princeton Ultragraphics monitor (I think I remember that one
being mentioned here) its dot pitch is .28.

It is the Princeton Graphics Ultra 14. Is that the one that you mean? I
know that Princeton did a couple of different monitors with nearly the same
name. I have trouble keeping them straight without checking.

I don't know where you would get the info. I read ads in the Computer
Shopper and looked at the monitors in local computer stores. I know about
the dot pitch of the Princeton Ultragraphics because I used one for two or
three years. I liked it.

I'm sorry – I don't know. I found mine at CompUSA quite a long while ago.
I see them advertised in a number of Computer Shopper ads, but I don't
know the phone number or the address of the company. I'm sure it came on
some literature with the monitor, but that was a long time ago and I don't
see it anywhere here now.
