Hi Doug and all, I really doubt that Wayne will open the Red Cloud to collectors. As soon as he gets financing arranged he is going to start a cut (not and "open pit") and work it down to the (I believe) 150 level, which should put him through the best wulfenite zone. Generally it isn't convenient/safe to allow others around such an operation. And, considering the fact that he has invested a lot of money just to try and recover specimens, it doesn't seem likely that he would allow others in and give them the chance to make a big find. I don't recall the prices of the diamond crystals in matrix. I generally don't take the time to write down prices. It seems like they weren't too high, in the hundreds, and I weakly recall seeing $300 on a couple (but don't hold me to that). Most crysals were around 1/4 inch (a little above, a little below) and they were various forms and colorless to light brownish. Most appeared to be little gems. Reportedly they were newly mined. Sorry about the Tucson95 file name. I forgot that CIS is more archaic than DOS and was pleased that something meaningful like Tucson95 made it within the DOS format. FYI I have received 47 requests for the file through rocks-and-fossils and rockhounds mailing lists. It is now going to be put on the rockhounds Web page. I have this type of report in the Mineral News every year, write it myself if I go, and have a couple others who do it otherwise, same for Denver, and sometimes a report comes in for Pasadena and others.
