#H timing of prv and pgm
8 messages in this thread
I have a Toaster 2.0. When I disolve between Framestores or bring up CG there
is a momentary jump in the picture level. The sort of thing that would happen
if the jtwo sources were slightly out in horizontal timing. I'm wondering if
that is likely the problem and if you can tell me where h timing can be
adjusted on the Toaster board. I am a licensed master television technician,
so I'm competent to tweak the board if I knew which pots and which test points
to use. Thanks.

BooBoo,
Let me know too, OK?

There is a hardware setup screen accessible with R alt/Shift/F10. I don't know
if you can do what you need to from there, but chack it out.

Gary,
I could not get any response with the key combination (right) Alt/Shift/F10…
holding all down, or in sequence or whatever.
What screen should you be on, with what ver. etc. I have 3.1 on A2000
Thanks

Alan, I should work for you. Try it from the switcher screen.

That only works for the newer Toaster 4000 hardware, not the original Toaster.
Bruce, Maybe so….I can't remember when I found out about that one.

Booboo,
For the original Toaster, I have worked up a field mod (OK, hack) that
will somewhat balance the two framestore DC levels. I've uploaded it
to our PreVue section library; it's one of the ApNotes (the name escapes
me, grab them all).
While the ApNote is full of caveats about the dire consequences of
tweaking on your Toaster, the feedback has been all positive. Someone
with your skills should have no trouble with the mod.
