I wonder how to make a 3D model of DNA (double helix Deoxiribose
Nucleid Acid Chain) using 3DS modeling ?
You could either extrude a couple of circles along a helix path in the
Lofter, and the cross bars, or write a quick routine to do a radial
array type function in Keyscript. Peter
Something that might get you started:
Use the 3D Lofter to create a helix path, apply the path in the Keyframer (with
plenty of frames) to a sphere, and then use Snapshot to generate spheres along
a helical path.

I can't tell you how to do it directly but a client of mine has done this
allready Using the Yost Group Disk #3 which has SKLINE, RESHAPE, MANTA WAVE,
TWIST, STRETCH, & MELT on it.

'Cute'? I was really hoping for inoffensively sardonic! Oh well, I should

nicotine molecules are very inticing the way they dance around.

Well now, Paul, if anyone I know could pull off "inoffensively sardonic", you
could. I was interested in your response to my nicotine molecules … they
were intended to entice, not intice … we do have to watch out for unintended
affect in our effects…
BTW – please send me my copy of the video – I'd rather not see it for the first
time at the next meeting! If I weren't afraid to bring my optical to your
place again, I'd bring some neat stuff to show. Kirk's "skin" demonstration
inspired me to remodel my G-protein and adenylate cyclase, and I have a really
lovely sequence using "skin". (No doubt SAVANTES' "southern end" will tell me
it's too "real-looking" or has "disturbing sexual symbolism" (that's molecular
pharmacology for you!) 🙁 ). Oh, oh, I really have to work on the
"inoffensive" part of the "sardonic". ;-]
