#Amiga Controller?

I'm looking for a way to control a couple of simple motors with the Amiga. I need to be able to make something go forward and backward under program control, preferably ARexx. Is there any standard board or method for using standard ports that could control something like this? I'm not even sure where to start looking… Any help is obviously needed…. – Joe

All I can tell you is that they exist. There have been a number of this ytpe of thing. InfraRed control units etc. From memory there is a seller in the UK who put out a range of these in kit form including a robot arm. Lu, 2500/30 APpy downunder

Airlink is an infrared universal remote controller made for the Amiga by Geodesic Designs in the US. Don't know if it or another Geodesic product would do what you want. Airlink handles VCRs, X-10 modules, CDs, etc. It does do AREXX.

Someone implied they'd spoken with Geodesic in the past few months. I haven't. When I sent in my registration card last year, it came back with "addressee moved."

P.S. I think I've got the new Geodesic address around here somewhere, but haven't tried to contact them.

Yeah, I'm not sure – I'm looking for something more mechanical – almost rudimentary robotics. Still, I'll look to it – thanks for the lead. – Joe
