Is anyone familiar with backing up an Amiga UNIX partition to streaming tape by any methods other than cpio ? Amiback and Quarterback wont work since UNIX_ROOT: is not a valid Amiga DOS volume, I want to archive an entire partition to tape to save a large number of customizations and would prefer to get an entire image of that partition. Is anyone familiar with a way to make a copy of a SCSI tape using a single SCSI drive ? Thanks for any info you might have. Gary Cooper ( the live one ) From Albuquerque, New Mexico

Gary, If you are running UNIX you have to use UNIX tools … cpio is pretty much it unless you want to write something yourself. You can copy a tape with 1 drive by having a large enough harddisk as your transfer medium … other than that you're pretty much out of luck. -sja
