i have an a2000 w/ 2meg chip 8meg fast ram and gvp '030 33mhz accel. i am thinking of upgrading my workbench to 3.1 and adding a picasso II w/ 2 meg of ram for at least partial aga emulation. has anyone attempted this with any success? got any ideas, tips etc..? i have heard that this should work with most productivity programs (of the most interest), and also some games (yes, also of interest). The PicassoII works great in my A2000/030 with 3.1. But most AGA programs won't run on it (a few will do, though). You might have to remove 2MB from your fast ram, I believe, because Picasso needs to address that memory space for it's own. Joachim Sondermann-Bieker on Amiga AutoPilot 1.77 from Cologne, Germany

As far as I understand it, it depends on what kind of GVP accelerator you have: On my (rather old) A3001 I had to remove 4 MB (!) of 32-bit-ram because on that board you can only have 0-4-8 MB. I heard that the newer boards use "extended memory" or something like that and you can adress more than 8 MB with them. Michael Nicolaisen (Intel outside) Greetings from Germany

Steve, I have an A2000 with 1M chip, 4M of 16-bit fast RAM, a GVP '030 25MHz accelerator with 13M of 32-bit RAM, and a Picasso 2, with WB 3.1 It all seems to work fine, though I don't know anything about AGA emulation, nor about games. I did have quite some problem installing the software so that it started up correctly. (This was when I still had WB 2.04.) Regards, Shraddhan (via AP from Hertfordshire, England)
