#NEC… HELP!

Please… Some One Help ME!!!!
My good old Star printer died…. so my cousin gave me a NEC Pinwriter P3200.
I can't get the damn thing to work! I called NEC, they couldn't help. I've
tried several different drivers… but none work! Everything Guru's! The
printer itself is working, it prints out it's "printer memory settings". So if
anyone has any idea… please…please let me know! I've got a paper due in a
week and I need my printer!!!!!!!!!!

What does "everything guru's" mean exactly?

An Amiga2000 1.3 and I tried printing using Transwrite and Excellence When I
click the print option my computer gurus
I've tried the NECP3.driver and a few others, but I must be missing
something……. but what I don't know!
Are you using the same cable on the NEC that you used on the Star?
Do both printers use parallel connectors?
How did the Star fail (is the NEC behaving the same way)?
If the NEC self-test works, then perhaps the cable or your 2000's parallel port
(you are connected to the parallel port, aren't you?) has a problem.

Yes, i'm using the same cable that I used on the Star. Parallel connectors????
The Star's printer thingy is stuck (it's really old). The only cable I touched
was the one coming out of the printer, I disconnect the Star and put that cable
into the NEC, I didn't touch anyth anything in the back of the computer.

Try printing from something other than your word processor. If you are
familiar with the CLI on the Amiga, try simply copying a file to both PAR: and
PRT: see if either works.
