*Two notes about the 1200:
(1) There is no fast RAM in the system. I had a 4×32 60ns SIMM in it, but I
just bought a WarpEngine 3040 for my 3000, and I will be using that SIMM in it.
But since the 12Gauge uses industry standard 72pin SIMMs, you should have no
problem shopping around for a good price, and RAM is cheap. Furthermore, this
machine's RAM is FAR faster than that of a 4000. The machine actually beats a
stock 4000 on some tests.
(2) At my dealer's and CSA's recommendation, I put a few ventilation holes
in the trapdoor of the 1200. The 12Gauge runs hot! I never had a problem, but
it was getting quite hot, so everyone agreed that I should either leave the
trapdoor off, which I didn't want to do, or put some holes in it, which suited
me fine.
I'm not exactly happy to be selling this machine. It's a nice one, and I'll
have no AGA machine afterwards, but as I've been sinking more and more money
into my 3000 to do sound editing and eventually get an Emplant, I really need
the money.

That would be great! I've been looking to expand my stock A3000 16mgz machine
for some time (only have 1meg fast and 1 meg chip). These ZIP's are
compatable, right? Let me know as soon as you can and I'll scrape together the
moola.

What you'll be able to do is to move the 1meg of Fast RAM that you have now,
which are DIPs, over into the empty bank of DIP sockets for Chip RAM, and then
put the ZIPs into the bank of ZIP sockets, so that you'll have 2megs Chip and
4megs Fast. Cool, huh?
I'm having a WarpEngine installed in my 3000 tomorrow, and what I plan to do is
to move the SIMM from my 1200 onto the WarpEngine, so as long as that goes OK,
you've got a deal. $160 plus shipping, which should be insubstantial.

I have all the manuals but I.ve never cracked the hood on this baby…may need

We're in business. The WarpEngine has been successfully installed, though not
without a few little glitches – some of them due to screwups in the manual that
I'll summarize here after I talk to MacroSystems on Wednesday – so I've got the
ZIPs in little shipping containers all ready to go.

Sadly, our deal is at least briefly on hold. I hope to have this ironed out
promptly, but I want to be frank. The WarpEngine is currently removed from my
machine, and may never return. I'll be talking to MacroSystems tomorrow, and
hopefully the problem will be fixed and I'll be able to sell you the ZIPs.
