I called the AW hotline and its last message has been posted – there will be no
more updates from Dan Sullivan. He cited frustration with the continuous
delays and posted a overseas number (which I did not get) operated by Commodore
UK to keep people abreast of their buyout status.
He made no mention about the fate of AW itself.
Heck, if they had made the hotline a "900" number, they would have earned
enough on that operation to keep AW in the black for years!
Incidentally, that overseas number hasn't been updated since Feb. 15, and
contains at this stage contains nothing really new …
Well, except for predictions that did not come true. (ie. "We expect a final
settlement in our favor within the next two weeks. & Our bid and deposit have
been placed and accepted.")
There has been no real news for months….
PS: At least one party has made more than one offer. One begins to wonder how
many deposits they have made.
If the liquidators had put in a 900 line, they could have made enough money to
pay off all of C='s debts.
Did not that C$erve is reporting record earnings. Something to do with one of
their computer interest groups having record traffic flow.
Heck, it's because of us Amiga users' traffic through here that C-serve was
able to drop the 14.4 rates by 50%! 🙂

That is the number but you will find that there has been no update since Feb
15. i.e. nothing new. I just rang them.
