Colors & Manual

Hi! The upgrade is great…..the objects are AWESOME!
One question; I have messed with the preferences (the gold color is making
my eyes bleed) and save/load etc. notwithstanding, I have not been able to
change the color of the border/toolbar/menu choices. Am I missing
something?
Also…..even though the manual is nice as a tutorial I must say that I
wish it were set up like a reference; at LEAST the table of contents.
Remember the old red-covered TurboSilver manual? You could find ANYTHING
in a minute in that book. Your software is great; the manual is a great
manual/tutorial….but PLEEEASE!!!! Give me a break……a simple index
would be nice. I really don't think that there is any excuse for leaving
something like that out. Even the simplest publishing programs wouldve
allowed you to tag chapter section/headings or words and automatically
generate an index.
Thans for the great software; after I memorize the manual I'll enjoy using
it a bit more. I know you guys work _REAL_ hard and love the product (as
we all do) and I know you have taken a lot of flak for the manual, and I
hate to get on your case but…..it is a bit difficult to USE. It reads
great….it teaches excellently….but it is _extremely_ hard to use.
Thanx for listening!!

When you move the color bars you also affect a a three place code that's
on the left of the bars. You have to type in the new code in the
appropriate place and then hit save. I was also stumped on this for a
while. Then I read the manual and there it was.
Randy.
Randy,
You don't have to actually type in the code, although that will work. The
easier way is after you move the sliders so the color in the box is what
you want, just click inside the color box. It will plug the numbers in for
you.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Leave it to me to make something more
complicated. Later…
Randy.
thanx! I needed that! heheh -Scott
Randy,
surprise! In Preferences, you can also click on the color swatch; this
will transfer the color values to the input field.

Scott, I'm glad someone else was having problems with those
*gold*gold*gold* colors! I wasn't going to say anything. Hey, I like the
3D look as well as the next guy, but as my mother used to say, "Everything
in it's place, in moderation." 🙂
Great program though, I agree.

no kidding! too bad my system disk crashed yesterday; If I see another
"key 45452364527345237czczxczx error; disk not validated" error this year
(3 in the last 12 months) I will retch. Good old GVP. This time it's on a
BRAND NEW Quantum. Thank goodness my 3-d "dream house" is stored on
another disk; I was setting up a nice fly-through when I crashed and never
came back up…..
It is a great program, but I still hate the paths and their silly curves;
sometimes you dont want a curve to bend backwards and you end up curving
the other way instead (after rotation hell). 🙂
