#KF Rotation by degrees
5 messages in this thread
I have R3. I find that Object/Rotate only rotates the object by One Degree
Increments. Is there a way to allow tenths or hundredths using the mouse? I
didn't see anything about it in the manual.
Hi John,
The only was to rotate an object less than 1 degree in the keyframer is to use
the KeyInfo Dialog box where you can type in the value.

You can't specify less than one degree rotations in the 3D Editor or the
Keyframer, but instead what you can use is the "Key Info" dialog box. Check the
"Angle" entry for a rotation key and you will see that you can specify a high
degree of precision for the rotation angle(6 decimal places).

David: minor point but you can rotate in 1/4 degree increments with a mouse in
the Editor.

John,
There are two IPAS routines that will solve your problem, one that will work in
the editor and one that works in the keyframer. The one that work in the
keyframer is called Calc.zip and must run at 800×600, if thats not possible for
you then I could send you the older version that works at 640×480. Both are
written by Mark Meier 76330,3402 and are freeware.
