I've looked up and down and don't seem to see what I'm looking for. Maybe someone can help. I'm looking for a way to use either 3ds or animator files and access them using them with the windows screen saver. In other words, something that converts these to .scr files or an scr file that can run them. Anyone? Your help is appreciated. Jeff

Jeff, There are several utilities that will play FLIC files as screen savers. Search the libraries for the keywords SCREEN or SAVER and you will find a few to choose from. -Brian

Brian, Thanks for the feedback. I will research them more. I'm looking specifically for .scr support. Karl Knelson in the animator section refers me to an $800 program called IMAGE-Q which does flics to .scr's. We'll see… Jeff

Jeff: FWIW, ImageQ is listed at $795 but folks like ProVantage and other mail order places have it for $549 and less. Did I miss your message? Flics to screensavers with ImageQ was what I was doing this afternoon. Let me know if you have more questions. Bob

Hi Jeff, I found this popular file in the library. Maybe it'll help. File Info for SCRSHW.ZIP Section: Utilities Contributor: 73447,1114 Size: 155738 Submitted: 8/8/94 Type: Binary Accesses: 658 Title: ScreenShow V1.8 Keys: FLC FLI ANIMATION DEMOS BMP VIDEO SCREEN SAVER BLANKER GRAPHIC SCREENSHOW – Play .FLI and .FLC files as a Windows screen saver. In addition display .BMP, .RLE, and .DIB files as screen saver images. Combine the animation files and or image files together into a script which allows for special effects such as fades, looping, speed control and much more. This is an ideal program to quickly build your own advertisements or demos. Other features include preload into memory, password protection, and VGA 320X200 display for FLI files. Kamyan Software.
