What is the latest version of Amiga Workbench and Kickstart?

OS 3.1 is the latest. Specific version numbers vary slightly between
machines, but for an A3000: Workbench is 40.42 and Kickstart is 40.68.

How many disks is it on? both the Workbench and Kickstart.

Kickstart comes in ROM. The rest comes on 6 disks.
