I got a fancy postcard today from Electronic Arts announcing Deluxe Paint V. I ordered it direct from EA Direct Sales at 1-800-245-4525. Quoting from the product description: "True 24-bit color and texture background support with natural media emulation heighten your expressive ability–and full ARexx macro recording support lets you work more quickly and efficiently. Animation features such as keyframe animation, enhanced LightTable, multiple frame palettes and frame rates, AnimBoard(tm) printing, and camera-style moves let you create professional animations, and the player utility lets you distribute your work to other Amiga users. Throw in flexible import/export options, new soft edge airbrush, seed-fill brush pickup, and new gradient/translucency features, and you have the best Amiga painting program on the market. * Supports painting and animation in all available screen modes * Videos overscan support for desktop video recording and editing * Camera Move requester for scrolling and camera zoom animation creation * DeluxePaint standards such as Animbrushes, AnimPainting, color cycling, custom brushes and modifiable tools" If you get the upgrade offer postcard like I got, the price is $79.95 (plus tax and shipping). Regular price is $149.95. The postcard also offers FIFA International Soccer for $19.95, regularly $49.95.

"Supports painting and animation in all available screen modes" Would you happen to know if these are just the native screen modes, or does this also include additional screens added by video boards? I've been looking for a good EGS paint program, but can't seem to find one. It's at least nice to see EA release a new product despite all the commotion going on about the Amiga's future. Regards, Keith.

Nope, don't know yet! I'm waiting for my copy to show up in the mail.
