I would like to know what communication software some experienced users use. I
am using Terminus 2.0d which is probably good software but the manual with 189
pages does not instruct how to use it. I would like some recommendations,
something less grandiose than I now have but one with a good instruction
manual.

First of all, Terminus is now up to 2.0e, which requires no further money
(except for download time), presuming you are already registered.
Second, what would you like to know ("the manual with 189 pages does not
instruct how to use it")? I've been using it for all my telecom except CIS for
2-3 years.
