#FileTransfer to MSDOS
3 messages in this thread
Hi Gary,
the "ooops"-section of your reply . . . well, exactly that was my problem.
But what about a serial hookup. Is there a terminal program in AMIGAs OS ?
(the model in question is a 500 btw)
. . .or is the serial port reliable enough to copy the raw data to SER: ?
Thanks for your time
Thomas
Tom,
You've just passed the point of my expertise. I have never done a null
modem, serial port transfer, so cannot advise you there. However, over
the years I've seen messages from lots of people who have.
Why not post a new message with the heading "Help-Null modem transfer".
That should bring the experts out of the woodwork.
And no, there is no "built in" comm program on the Amiga.
Good luck

Gary,
I believe what Thomas needs is CrossDOS from Consultron. The floppy disk
exchange features of CrossDOS is included in AmigaDOS 2.1, 3.0 and 3.1.
However, he can purchase the full featured version from any Amiga vendor. We
have used CrossDOS to mount an MS-DOS formatted SyQuest and transfer files to
and from the Amiga. BTW, Consultron recently released CrossMAC, the Macintosh
to Amiga utility.
