Well, I wasn't as happy as you were about Campbell. He isn't *my* idea of a moderate. Sure, he's pretty conservative fiscally, but he's a screaming liberal most other ways. I was a lot happier when he was the Democrat's problem. <sigh> I think Hatfield has pretty much debunked the argument that any warm bodies are better than nothing. But I guess it's progress, of a sort. :-/ -Karl

Karl, Campbell is pretty much a moderate, but his decision to switch was based more on local (Colorado) politics than anything else. However, this is the first time in over 20 years that Colorado has 2 Republican senators. Sure beats the days of Tim Wirth and Gary Hart.
