Steve… Can you pass on a source for the Multiface III board and the manufacturer? I have been looking in the AW ads and not found any mention of multi io boards. Thanks. ..Carl

Steve, The name of the product is MultiFace Card III, it's made by Alfa Data. Check the Select Solutions ad in the February AW issue (page 33) it's in the far right column in the Alfa Data box. (It's listed twice, once for 95.99 once for 99.99, I'd ask for the cheaper one!) It's also listed in the Safe Harbor ad on page 41 and Creative Computers ad (under Misc Hardware) on page 29 bothg for about $89. Dave

Steve… Thanks loads. I had only checked the March AW issue and couldn't find it. Now I need to hunt up the February issue. Again thanks a load. ..Carl

Boy is this getting confusing. Dave's message is addressed to s Steve and then I thank Steve instead of Dave. Must be the long delay in the liquidation that is causing shorted out brain waves. Anyway thanks DAVE. :^) ..Carl

Carl (and Steve and eceryone else) My mistake, of course the message was for Carl, I get confused traveling down some of these message branches. Anyway, Carl, the ads in the March issue have the same items in about the same places. Creative ad page 37, Safe harbor page 43 and Select Solutions page 51. Best regards Dave (or am I Steve, or Elvis or am I opne of the mystery administrators?)

Dave… Thanks I found them but the one says one parallel port 2 serial. I thought Steve said they have 2 parallel and one serial? ..Carl

Carl, Regardless of what the ad says, MY multiface III card has 2 parrellel ports (currently I have a printer hooked to one, a DSS8 audio digitizer to the other, and a DCTV to my motherboard parrellel port). A USR HST to the MFIII serial, and a LineLink 144e to the amiga serial. ..Steve Cruising on Autopilot from beautiful Coastal South Carolina

Steve… Thanks for the good news, "MY multiface III card has 2 parallel ports". Looks like that is the way I'll go. I have now seen them advertised as low as $88, but that was in a three month old AW. Thanks for the reply. ..Carl

Carl, I have a MFC III also and only one additional parallel port. I don't know what gives but I have looked closely at my board and have read the manual again, just to be sure. No second parallel port. Sorry. Dege Pop quiz: Two biggest crooks in modern history? (o\_/o) Answer: Gould & Ali {-I-}

Dege… THis is getting very interesting. Steve has one with two and you have one with one. I guess when I get ready to order I'll call around and find out if any places have the board with two parallel ports. ..Carl

Carl, I hope this does not cause any confusion, but I erronously stated "MY Multiface III card …" Should have read "MY Multiface II card…" I in fact have a MFC II not MFC III. ..Steve Cruising on Autopilot from beautiful Coastal South Carolina

Steve… I was wondering if that was the difference. Do you know if they are still makeing the MII card? Actually do you have the number of the manufacturer in your docs. I might call them. ..Carl

Steve… Thanks I finally found it in the Feb. AW $88. Didn't you say it had 2 parallel ports? The one ad says it only has one. ??? ..Carl
