Dear Okna: I've waited over eight months to finally convert over to DTS from ACT. The main problem was that before the b update, callerid did not work. Lay aside the truth that Okna wouldn't admit this to me in many message exchanges here. Now it does, pretty good, if you ignore problems running WinFax4 at the same time. Another feature I waited for was the ability to do a full search, because I envisaged (1) importing all my many ACT records with the Status/ID field, which is the equivalent of categories in DTS, assigned to some available field–I used COUNTRY–during import. Then I would (2) do the Full search on COUNTRY as a field to search for various ACT-entered Status/ID designations, and assign the resulting list to an already-created DTS category. Clever, eh? Guess what? All worked, until I got to the last Assign step. It assigns nothing. I have hundreds of records. Most have multiple Status/ID designations. I need a way to reassign in categories, other than one-at-a-time, by hand as it were. Either I am doing something wrong, or DTS has a bug. Please don't tell me you are referring this to development.
