1) Is there any way of changing the serial number on an installed copy? We
bought a legal copy for someone that "borrowed" someone else's copy. I
installed 4.1b, since the version we received was 4.1a, but of course the "bad"
serial number still shows. I'd really like to avoid reinstalling it from
scratch since he already has data files.
2) Can both the address book and the calendar be shared on a network?
3) Does anything special have to be done to put them on the network?
4) Will DTS remember where they are on the network each time the PC is booted
or do we have to enter the file name each time?
Thanks,
Gary Schulze
Gary,
Send us the install disks for that individual and we will replace them with new
ones and instructions about how to fix the problem.
If you have copies with unique serial numbers on the network, then you should
be able to access both calendar and address book.
Install your \deskapp directory on your local drive, and the \desktop directory
on a drive that is accessable on the network.
