Could someone give me a history of Okna, DeskTop? Does it have problems? Is it really as good as they claim? Why can't I find it at large Retailers like CompUSA? Does it have a lot of bugs? Do they have good support? Why when I call do I always get some guy's answering service saying he'll call me back? I'm interested in it but need some answers. Thanks

I've used DeskTop Set since 1990. I've tried quite a few other Windows PIMS. (Until late 1993, I could say I had tried all of the shrink-wrapped and most of the CIS-posted shareware Windows PIMs.) DeskTop Set has been the one that has worked best for me and for a lot of other folks. I not aware of a more stable Windows PIM. Regards, -HANK-

I second Hank's comments. I've been an off-and-on user since 1990 (maybe before). I have tried some of the rest, and DTS is the best. I have lived through the Packrat Debacle, played with Ecco, etc. and always come back to DTS. (I do, now, use InfoCentral for other purposes, especially file management and creating complex linkages). Why is it not available at CompUSA? Probably because Konstantin doesn't include enough markup in the product price to make it profitable for distributors, retail outlets, etc. I guess we could all pay more, but why? The loyalty of both Okna and DTS users has long been a selling point, as well. Support is quick and knowledgable, you can probably get Konstantin on the phone, and hey, what else this good comes from New Jersey <grin! ex-NYC bravado, I guess>. Gary Zeiss Washington, DC
