I recently had a HD crash, and when I re installed Desktop, and restored the
files from the backup, I received the error message " attempted to open a non
calendar file, request canceled " , after numerous attempts I have still not
recovered my lost data off the backup disk.
I then attempted to duplicate the problem by creating a small calendar file,
backing it up and restoring it to confirm that it worked, and then deleting and
re installing the desktop software, thereby simulating the original HD crash.
I confirmed my suspicion because the same error occurred,
If anyone has experienced this problem, or if you have a second PC that you can
use to create this type of simulation, please advise me if you can duplicate
this error as I have.
If so this could be a serious bug.

Send us a copy of your backup and a calendar file that you are having a problem
with. We will have development take a look and see if they can fix the
problem.
