#3DS Magazine & Books??
18 messages in this thread
Anyone,
Is there a magazine dedicated to 3DS?
Where can I purchase 3ds books other than the manuals that come with the
software?
Is there a list of user groups with locations?
I'm basically looking for weekly or monthly publications to keep me up to date
on the new releases, IPAS routines (even 3rd party) or short cuts for 3DS.
Any info will be appreciated.
Paul.
PS same goes for Ani Pro.
Check into Planet Studio yet?
It's pricey but it is very well done and full of information.

Paul,
There is a wealth of information regarding 3D Studio, publications like Planet
Studio, 3D Artist are in the Newsletter format then there are numerous books by
very talented people. Perhaps if you told us where you were located we could
point you towards a dealer in your area. You can also contact Autodesk
directly at 1-800-525-2763 and ask for a Dealer in your area.
We are an Autodesk Authorized Dealer located in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Hello,
Don't mean to intrude, but what is this Planet Studio? Sounds like it
might be a 3D Studio specific periodical.
Thanks, Kevin
Planet Studio is a 100% 3D Studio dedicated publication.
You could call them at 603-924-0100.

Jonas,
Did I get a reply from THE Jonas that seems to be responding to most
every message I see posted (perhaps a slight exaggeration there…)? I am not
worthy!
I will have to look into this Planet Studio more deeply. Thanks.
Kevin

Hello James,
Thanks for the response.
We are located in Pittsburgh, PA.
I will locate the dealer where I purchsed 3DS for info on publications,
Although I have asked them about a 3DS users group and they referred me to the
Greater Pittsburgh AutoCAD User's Group (GPAUG). The discussion in the group is
never 3DS only AutoCAD topics.
Thank you much.
Paul.
