#Dialer problem

I am having problems in release 4.1(b) with dialing long distance numbers within my own area code. I have the "Dial 1" box marked and I have the call type set to long distance, but if I have my area code in the area code field, the dialer will not dial the 1. I have had to insert a fictious(sp?) area code in order for the dialer to properly dial long distance numbers within my own area code. How can I fix this. I have tried "hard reset" but that doesn't help. Bill

Bill, Have you tried to change the dialing formats for the individual numbers to long distance. This is done in address book; dialer/options. Dean Okna Tech
