#3D Studio School?
6 messages in this thread
Hi there!
I have a question for you: I've been told that Autodesk has thier own
"Training Center" for 3D Studio users. Is this true? If so, where is it? <g>
Any phone #'s you could give me? I'm a college student who's very interested
in Computer Art/Animation, and I'd really appreciate any info you may have.
Thanks!

Jeff:
You are correct that Autodesk has Authorized Training Centers, offering
training in 3D Studio and Animator Pro (we're one of them). You can call
800-964-6432 to find the closest center to you, or to get a list of all the
centers so you can shop for the course that fits you schedule best.
If you give us a hint where you're from, you might find that the local ATC
Manager in your area might jump in and get you information that you need.

Hey, great! Thanks! Okay, right now I'm living in Salem, Oregon, but if
everything goes right I'll be heading back to the Bay Area this summer and
staying for Art School in California. So a training center around either the
Salem area or anywhere in central – southern Calif. would make me a very happy
guy. <g> Thanks again!

If you want to stay around Oregon, you might try Clackamas College,
where Terrence Shumaker is. He's usually on-line here, but I know
he's been pretty busy lately getting his book updated to R13. In
southern CA, you have lots of choices, including MTI College in LA or
Palomar College in San Diego, among others. If you're heading closer
to SF, there's San Francisco State Univ, and undoubtedly others, as
this is pretty much the 3DS mecca.

Where are you located?

I live in Salem, Oregon, but I'd be willing to make a long drive if necessary
to be able to attend a training center for 3D Studio! Thanks for the response!
