Has anyone actually gotten Razor Pro to work consistently? I'm totally fed up
with In:Sync's BS. They have the crappiest BBS in the world, not to mention the
tech support. After two months of owning RP, I haven't really gotten anything
actually done with it. The newest version 1.0c doesn't work at all really. And
after 5 days I still haven't been given access to their BBS to get the missing
DLL's. Real Nice. I really wonder if anyone at In:sync actually uses the
product. I doubt it. How could a prduct ship with that many missing files
anyway? Well, I hope I sound totally annoyed because I am. If I find out
Premiere works just fine with the PAR with the MCI drivers thenI am going to
sprint to my dealer to return Razor Pro, and unload this worthless addition to
my hard drive.

I have Premier 4.0, still in the box. The reason is I've been waiting for info
on the MCI drivers from DPS. Do you have any details on these drivers? I
would have purchased the Razor Pro product a month ago but have heard so many
reports like yours that I decided to wait for the product to mature a bit.
Seems everyother week they have a new version or a new complaint. Jamie is
doing a fantastic PR job in my opinion but the users are still frustrated. The
real reason I did buy the Premier 4.0 when I di was price. Too good to pass up
at the time. Pcoket change – demo version that is full featured. I have some
time now that I'm between projects and would like to get it loaded but need the
MCI drivers. Any info you have would be appreciated. Then I can check it out
for you. <g>

According to the DPS BBS they were supposed to be in the 1.50 release, which
they were not. I was able to d/l the MCI drivers from the in:sync BBS on the
first call, I don't own Razor Pro though.
The driver works great, finally I am able to view PAR animations without
exiting Windows (next up 3DSR5!). I was able to record a .wav file on my AWE32
and sync it to the anim file. It plays back in perfect sync.
I don't know why the MCI driver isn't availabel anywhere else, I could u/l it
to the ASoft forum if allowed.

I don't know what you've been shipped or how you've installed RP, but my
version(an upgrade) works great! Links all the sound w/MCI drivers, transitions
and FX work great. Reads and writes .ani files and I can mix and match
different animation file types(.tga, .ani, .avi) all to make one final
animation. I've tried Premiere 4.0 and I don't think the effects flexibility is
as good as RP.

What version of RP do you have? Have you done any real work with it? I have
been fighting with In:Sync since the ver 1.0a. I am about to send the product
back. The MCI driver works great for syncing and playing ani files with sound,
but thats DPS's code not In:Syncs!!! What kind of hardware are you using?
RP sometimes reversed field order, sometimes GP Faults, and the transitions
don't always work. Yea, it all seems to work on short files. Its the longer
files, over 30 seconds, when the problems surface. There is no way I would bet
a deadline on RP.

I'm using a 486/66 w/ 32MB RAM and a large HD. I just finished a 2:30 video
presentation for a local client of mine. I had no problems w/ RP at all. The
transitions and FX seem to be totally flexible, though the orientation effect
could use better anti-aliasing on it's edges. Jamie assures me this will be
done. BTW, I bet a Comdex presentation deadline using RP 1.0 and it came
through w/ flying colors.

Your version of Razor Pro. Is it version 1.0a,b, or c. There for a while I
was downloading new versions from them every week. I finnally got tired of
making the long distance phone call every other night and decided to wait for
the new version and new manuals that Jamie promised would be in my dealers hand
soon.
