<<< Start new thread from # 189951-Best TCP/IP NFS in S4 >>> If you have SANA-II drivers for those Ethernet boards (I've never heard of a 2066, maybe you mistyped 2065, we include the driver for that), Envoy 2.0 would probably work well for you. Download iam.lha for information. Ask around here if you want to hear from some users of Envoy. dale@iam.com http://www.iam.com Intangible Assets Manufacturing

Dale, I believe C= used to have something like an A565 (i.e. A2065 for the A500). Is this still being sold? Is the A2065? A year and a half back I remember to have read somewhere that the A2065 was sold out and no new units were being produced? The A2060/A560 are still to be had in Germany. Would you recommend those, say, compared to an existing AmigaLink setup? What's the difference between the x60 and x65 models (right, Arcnet or Ethernet respectively, but what does that actually mean to the user)? Thanks, // Christian "ELP" Busse \X/ near Frankfurt, Germany

Ethernet is faster and *much* more standard than ArcNet. A2065 is Ethernet Z2, A2060 is ArcNet Z2. The A500 version of ArcNet was in production (560?) but the A500 Ethernet wasn't. I think I have one of each from the Commodore auction (and since I don't have an A500, I guess I'd be happy to be rid of them if someone wanted to buy them as-is). dale@iam.com http://www.iam.com Intangible Assets Manufacturing

Dale, I'm just starting with this Networking stuff, so far all I have are the device drivers for the 2065 and 4066. Is Envoy PD or is it a commercial program? I'd like to get this going as cheap as possible for now. Thanks for the help, ….John

For information on my Amiga networking book and on the Amiga Envoy software, download iam.lha (a short AmigaGuide file). The only PD alternative for Ethernet is AmiTCP, available for download here. dale@iam.com http://www.iam.com Intangible Assets Manufacturing
