Absolutely true, Michael. Do you have such a driver? At the time of writing the review, Fargo asserted to me that they were not licensing any 3rd party developers to use the firmware on the Pro, as they did for the original Primera. And their in-house driver was my ONLY major problem with the machine. If Soft-Logik has been licensed in regards to the Pro model, I only regret AW no longer exists so that we could make that correction. Gary on AutoPilot from Charlotte, NC

PageStream3.0f was the first version to ship with a Primera Pro custom driver, and it's still the current version. It's not very good though because it uses the Primera non-Pro's color values instead of the special ones for the Pro model. We have since improved the driver to the point where it is much better than the Preference driver and will ship the new driver with 3.0g due out in a week. Our custom driver still isn't as good as Fargo's driver for Windows, but that's to be expected since they could afford to spend a lot more development time tweaking the driver. Fargo supplied us with the info to write the custom driver. I know the info wasn't available at first, but it was made available later. Cheers, Michael – Soft-Logik Publishing

Well, that's good news for Pro owners. My problem was that their preferences style driver offered NO user color control over the printed image. Whereas, with the first Primera, AdPro and Studio drivers provided near unlimited control. Hard to spend those kind of bucks for a printer and then not be able to wring the best image possible out of it. Gary on AutoPilot from Charlotte, NC
