Thanks for the info. It sounds good, but I'm wondering about how well the menus function under WB2.1. I found it sluggish for anything over 16 colors under EGS. GVP sez it's WBench's problem and to keep WB colors to 16 or less for snappy menus. So unless it's more stable than EGS and is more compliant with WB/Intu interface for applications, it may not be for me. Not quite ready ($$$) for WB3.1 yet. Again, I really appreciate the info! Keith, I have an EGS board in both a 2000 and a 3000. 256 color WB on the 3000 is very fast. The 2000, even with the GVP acclerator, cannot use 256 colors very comfortably. Menus are too slow, windows open a tad slower, etc. Dege Pop quiz: Two biggest crooks in modern history? (o\_/o) Answer: Gould & Ali {-I-}

Actually I've found EGS to be pretty fast in most cases, especially if you use some of the PD patches available to speed it up like DTPatch and EGS-Turbo. Concerning CyberGraphics, it's pretty stable right now. There are a few minor problems but I expect they will be corrected in a future release. As far as compatability with other software, well I believe CyberGraphics is better than EGS in this category. The only problem with CyberGFX is if you have a bunch of EGS applications that you would like to run such as TVPaint, EGSPhotoAlbum, etc. If you are not using any specialized EGS software then you don't need to worry. // John (Warp 4040 & Emplant Quadra 840) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net
